ORTHOTICS

We specialize in creating cutting-edge orthotics that are tailored specifically for your child.

Lower limb orthoses are specially designed braces that are used to treat a variety of impairments and abnormalities in the lower body, including the hip, knee, ankle, and toes. We can also design braces to address skeletal conditions of the spine. This includes issues that develop during growth, as well as congenital abnormalities and medical conditions.

At the Center for Pediatric Movement, we understand the unique needs of children with these conditions. That’s why we develop highly specialized, custom orthotics that not only address skeletal conditions, but also improve your child’s gait pattern. We believe in working closely with your child, therapists, and medical providers to ensure that the brace we provide is tailored to meet their needs and help them achieve their short-term and long-term goals.

We will also make adjustments to their shoes and braces, using wedges, lifts, or inserts made from different materials, to ensure that their gait pattern continues to improve as they progress through physical therapy and their overall strength, balance, stability, and motor function improve.

By choosing our services at the Center for Pediatric Movement, you can trust that your child will receive comprehensive and tailored care to address their lower limb conditions and help them reach their full potential.

WHAT TO EXPECT

image

At our clinic, our orthotists and physical therapists work together to evaluate and address your child’s skeletal and movement issues. Using this knowledge, we can recommend a specific brace tailored to your child’s needs. We take into consideration various materials, design elements, and tuning recommendations to maximize your child’s ability to achieve their short and long-term goals.

Once the design of the brace is finalized, our skilled lab technicians will create a custom orthotic for your child. They will then return to our clinic to be properly fitted with the new orthotic. During this appointment, we will work together to fine-tune both the orthotic and their shoes, improving their overall mobility and function. As your child’s care continues, we will regularly adjust and optimize their shoes and orthotics to ensure they always receive the best possible benefits from them.

Trust our team to provide the highest level of care and personalization for your child’s orthotic needs.
